Black leather and purple tint | ||

| King Cheetah has entered a fairly predictable routine, which means it knows it's being watched and it's just maintaining a holding pattern until it works out what to do. It hopes we will try to catch it because that will potentially create an unpredictable situation where we might make a mistake and it could get away. We don't have any need to capture or kill King Cheetah, so we will just watch it and wait for it to do something stupid - or even more stupid. It is stuck in Redfern, Sydney, where it stands out like a possum in a fish tank. Everybody is watching it and wondering what the person in the long, black leather jacket and purple-tinted sunglasses is doing at the watch shop all the time. I think it has worked out that humans like to browse shops, but we don't go back to the same watch shop every day. I love to look at Tag Heuer watches, but I only go maybe once a week. I assume the purple in the glasses somehow relieves its eyes from the glare of our sun. The Director of DASI has demanded that I publish my short stories on this journal. Some of these stories are related to the operation, but most I do for fun. But the operation has decided that they own everything I do and I have to publish it. Whatever. Here's the first one. It's bigger here. | ||
